本网讯：1月7日上午，宾夕法尼亚大学沃顿商学院高层管理教育副院长、Ira A. Lipman市场营销学讲席副教授Patti Williams，沃顿商学院蔡万财讲席教授、市场营销学教授、沃顿中国中心创始主任张忠，沃顿商学院中国GMP项目相关负责人等一行到我校交流访问。我校董事长、校长赵超，副董事长张玉洁，学术委员1分快3全天计划在线副主任丁德科，国际交流与合作处处长赵景民，国际教育学院院长王同及相关职能部门负责人陪同并参加座谈。
On the morning of January 7, Professor Patti Williams, Vice Dean for Executive Education and Ira A. Lipman Associate Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Professor Zhang Zhong, Tsai Wan-Tsai Chair Professor of Marketing, Professor of Marketing, and Founding Director of the Wharton China Center, together with representatives from Wharton’s China GMP program, visited our university for an exchange visit.They were accompanied by Professor Zhao Chao, Chairman of the Board and President of our university; Ms. Zhang Yujie, Vice Chairwoman; Professor Ding Deke, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee; Mr. Zhao Jingmin, Director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation; Mr. Wang Tong, Dean of the School of International Education; as well as heads of relevant functional departments, who participated in the roundtable discussion.

During the roundtable discussion, Zhao Chao and Patti Williams engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including institutional philosophies in higher education, pathways for the development of business education, and approaches to talent cultivation under different education systems. The exchange was marked by clear perspectives and insightful viewpoints from both sides.

Drawing on the university’s distinctive educational background empowered by the Buchang Pharmaceutical industry, Zhao Chao systematically introduced the university’s educational philosophy, development history, phased achievements, and future development vision. He highlighted the institution’s innovative practices and notable outcomes in areas such as industry–education integration, the cultivation of application-oriented talents, and the development of distinctive disciplinary clusters. He emphasized that the university is positioned to “take root in Shaanxi, serve the western region, extend its reach nationwide, and engage with the world,” and is committed to contributing the strength of private higher education institutions to the building of a strong education system in China.

The Wharton School delegation spoke highly of Buchang Pharmaceutical’s industry-empowered development model and the university’s clear and steady institutional positioning. Patti Williams noted that through the exchange visit, she was deeply impressed by the achievements of private higher education institutions in China in terms of governance structures, educational philosophy, and service to society. In particular, she expressed strong recognition of the university’s distinctive development pathway that deeply integrates industrial resources with education and teaching, and conveyed her full endorsement of the university’s proposed vision for future development.

During the exchange, the delegation conducted an on-site visit of the university’s campus environment and teaching facilities, gaining a direct appreciation of the institution’s academic foundations and campus culture. They spoke positively of the university’s well-developed infrastructure and its strong, education-oriented learning environment.Both sides reached a consensus to take this exchange as an important starting point for future engagement, to establish a regular communication mechanism, and to actively explore in-depth cooperation in areas such as academic exchange, joint talent cultivation, and collaborative research projects, with the aim of achieving complementary strengths and mutually beneficial development.
